To add to the discussion is to have all stakeholders involved actively from the caregiver,office of registration,community gatekepers,ministry of Education,security officers,Child protection office,activists,Local leaders and health sector in sub county level and other like minded organizations.The discussion on matters Child Protection has to be seamless and flow of information constitent.
Just to add to the discussion- In the Kenyan context, strengthening child abuse reporting should build on trusted local structures such as chiefs, Nyumba Kumi leaders, Community Health Promoters, teachers, and religious leaders. Regular training on identifying abuse and clear referral pathways under the Children Act, 2022 can support early action.
Awareness of reporting channels like Children’s Officers, Child Protection Units, Area Advisory Councils, and the 116 Child Helpline remains critical. Emphasizing confidentiality and follow-up can increase community trust and encourage timely reporting.
