The lesson “Understanding and Preventing Erosion” reviews the definition of erosion with the children, as well as the causes and dangers they learned in lessons from previous years. Together, the children will develop a plan for preventing erosion in their community through creating a persuasive flyer. The lesson includes guided instructions for the teacher, including preparation, a script, and suggested activities to facilitate further learning in a fun and interactive manner. This lesson is designed for children between 9-11 years, and is the 19th lesson in the 2nd Year “Environmental Concerns” unit.
