The Bala Wande Teacher Guide provides a daily guide to teaching mathematics so that learners will develop their mathematical understanding and begin to calculate with confidence.
For each section of planned lesson activities, there is a two-page guide that gives an overview of the Mental Maths and concept development components of the lessons, including:

resources teachers will need for each day’s activities
•
objectives for the daily lesson activities
•
things to think about when teaching the lesson activities
Assessment is built into the Bala Wande programme on a continuous basis. The final lesson of each section is used to assess and consolidate the content covered in that section.
