First Aid - Year 1

The Core Curriculum for adolescents between the ages of 15 and 18 includes lessons that work to develop awareness, education, and skills for the teens in the physical domain. Lessons focus on First Aid awareness and safety in the areas of “Cardiac Arrest and Seizures,” “Shock and Bleeding,” “Choking and Head Injury,” and “Snake Bites.” The curriculum also includes lessons specific to HIV-AIDS education and awareness, as well as proper hygiene. Each lesson includes guided instructions for the teacher, including preparation, a script, and suggested activities to facilitate further learning in an engaging and interactive manner.
