The lesson “I Know What Part of Plants to Eat” is part 26 of a 42 part series on parts of the human body, health, and safety. This lesson focuses on identifying thedifferent parts of a plant and edible plants. This resource includes a lesson plan for the teacher on how to prepare beforehand, class-time content to facilitate learning, hands-on activities facilitating further learning, and a teacher assessment at the end. This lesson is designed for a group of young children between the ages of 3 and 5, and is the twenty-sixth physical development lesson in the Core Curriculum, 3-5 years, Year One.
