The lesson “Special Skills Related to Local Business” helps to develop motivation and knowledge in children to enable them to be economically self-supporting in the future. The children will gain an understanding of what is required to open a local business and build a ‘Living Business Map’ that depicts the skills required to operate an enterprise on their own. The lesson includes guided instructions for the teacher, including preparation, a script, and suggested activities to facilitate further learning in a fun and interactive manner. This lesson is designed for children between 6-8 years, and is the 33rd lesson in the 2nd Year “Business – Micro-Enterprise” unit.
