HV98: Preventable Disease - Malaria

The lesson “Preventable Disease-Malaria” enables the mother/caregiver to explain how malaria is transmitted and when and how to seek treatment for malaria. She receives a demonstration of how to prevent malaria by correctly using a mosquito net and eliminating or covering all stagnant water sources outside of the home. (Many mothers need to collect rainwater; covering it is important.)

Note: If there is no net available for a pregnant mother or child, the mother and implementer will develop a plan of how to access a net. (The implementer should work with the FCP to provide mosquito nets to pregnant mothers.)
