Mifuatano: New Survival and Early Childhood curriculum 0-1 Years Intervention

The Survival and Early Childhood (SEC) curriculum has been redesigned to support new Survival outcomes for pregnant mothers, supporting caregivers and babies. The outcomes and curriculum align with and set a critical foundation for child and youth outcomes outlined in Compassion’s Global Outcomes Framework. National Office staff and Survival experts have played a critical role in reviewing the curriculum for local context, best practices in behavior change and up-to-date health information
The approach features the CareGroup (CG) model curriculum composed primarily of illustrations. This model includes two kinds of lessons: illustration-based and activity-based. It is specifically designed for implementers in semi-literate communities. These implementers may be women who have participated in the program, demonstrated wise parenting skills and are equipped to lead other families in the program.
