The lesson “God Gave Me Arms” is part 8 of a 42 part series on parts of the human body, health, and safety. This lesson teaches about the arms and the many things arms can do. The lesson also includes information about large muscle and small muscle movements called large and fine motor skills. This resource includes a lesson plan for the teacher on how to prepare beforehand, class-time content to facilitate learning about the arms, hands-on activities facilitating further learning, and a teacher assessment at the end. There is also an alternative activity suggested. This lesson is designed for a group of young children between the ages of 3 and 5, and is the eighth physical development lesson in the Core Curriculum, 3-5 years, Year One.
